"textContent": "Staffordshire Bull Terriers, their owners and dog lovers from across the region are being invited to come together for a special celebration at Weston Park this July.\n\nThe Big Staffy Stroll will take place on Saturday 18 July 2026, bringing the popular Staffy Trail to a close with a guided walk, family activities and what organisers hope will become the region’s biggest gathering of Staffordshire Bull Terriers.\n\nThe event begins at 10am, with visitors invited to explore the parkland, meet fellow dog lovers and celebrate one of Staffordshire’s most recognisable breeds.\n\nAll dogs and dog lovers are welcome, although Staffies are especially encouraged to join the gathering.\n\n🐾 **The Big Staffy Stroll**\n\n**When:** Saturday 18 July 2026, from 10am\n**Where:** Weston Park, near Shifnal\n**Tickets:** £6.50 per person, plus booking fee\n**Children:** Under fours go free\n**Dogs:** All dogs are welcome\n\n## A special finale for the Staffy Trail\n\nThousands of people from Staffordshire and beyond have spent the past two months following the Staffy Trail and discovering sculptures of Staffy, the new visitor mascot for Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent.\n\nStaffy has become an adventure hero and storyteller, helping visitors explore the area’s history, attractions and places to visit.\n\nThe art and history adventure trail comes to an end on Friday 17 July, with the Big Staffy Stroll taking place the following morning as a celebration of the trail, Staffordshire and the county’s much loved dogs.\n\nVisitors will be able to discover a mini version of the Staffy Trail during the event, using the trail app to unlock rewards, discounts and activities.\n\n## Walk through Weston Park\n\nThe day will begin with a leisurely guided dog walk through Weston Park’s grounds, which were designed by Capability Brown.\n\nThe route will take visitors through scenic areas of the estate, including special locations away from the usual visitor paths.\n\nPhotos will be taken after the walk, with guests welcome to remain at Weston Park throughout the day to explore its grounds, attractions, cafés and restaurant.\n\nRefreshments will also be available from the onsite catering facilities.\n\n## Meet Staffordshire’s famous canine mascot\n\nAmong the special guests will be Sergeant Watchman and Private Watchman, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier mascots of the Staffordshire Regimental Association.\n\nThe event will offer dog lovers the chance to meet the mascots while joining hundreds of other visitors and their four legged companions.\n\nThere will also be an opportunity to learn more about the Senior Staffy Dog Club Rescue, a charity supporting older Staffies and helping them find loving homes.\n\nThe gathering will help raise awareness of the charity and the work being carried out to support Staffordshire Bull Terriers during their later years.\n\n## Discover more of Staffordshire\n\nAlongside the walk and mini trail, visitors will be able to find inspiration for days out and discover more of Staffordshire’s attractions and hidden gems.\n\nWhether visitors have completed the full Staffy Trail, are proud Staffy owners or simply enjoy spending time with dogs, everyone is invited to take part.\n\nTickets are available at a discounted price of £6.50 per person, plus booking fee.
