"textContent": "Regional manager Steve Grice and regional executive Mike Lowe will cycle 100km from Stoke on Trent to Coventry on July 29, covering urban roads and winding country lanes to raise funds for UKSE’s Charity of the Year, CALM.\n\nEstablished in 2005, CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) provides tools, resources and a dedicated helpline to support people living in crisis find the right tools to manage their wellbeing and ultimately prevent suicide.\n\nFor every £1 donated to the charity, 75p is spent on supporting people who are struggling, including through their suicide prevention helpline.\n\nSteve and Mikes’ challenge will begin at Stoke-on-Trent railway station and pass landmarks including the Bet365 Stadium, Blithfield Reservoir, the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas, Kingsbury Water Park, the Cyclists War Memorial in Meriden and onto the finish line at Coventry railway station.\n\nSteve Grice commented:\n\n> “Our area spans as far north as Stoke on Trent, all the way down to Coventry, so when we discussed our fundraising challenge, this seemed like the perfect route, combined with our love for cycling too.\n\n> “CALM are an incredible charity providing life-saving support to those who are struggling with their mental health. It would be fantastic if we could raise £500 for the charity and continue their vital services.”\n\nMike Lowe added:\n\n> “UKSE is committed to making a positive impact to good causes supporting the communities it operates in.
