  "textContent": "Stoke-on-Trent City Archives is set to reopen to the public on Wednesday 6 May as work continues on the £5 million transformation of the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery.\n\nThe archives, located on the lower ground floor of the museum, collect, preserve and make accessible records that tell the story of life in Stoke-on-Trent, past and present.\n\nThe City Archives holds collections from world-famous ceramics manufacturers including Minton, Royal Doulton and Spode. Visitors can also access family history resources, the service’s specialist Pottery Library and a wide range of material from local organisations, businesses and individuals that reflect the city’s industrial, literary, social and religious history.\n\n## Local news is broken.
