  "textContent": "The Staffordshire Signal was founded on a simple belief: our county deserves a newsroom that belongs to the people, not a distant corporate boardroom.\n\nAs a non-profit Community Interest Company (CIC), we are funded by local businesses and the community, and we operate on the principle of **People Over Profits**. This means that as we grow, we don't guess what matters to the residents of Stoke-on-Trent, the Moorlands, and the wider county, we ask.\n\nWe are currently at an exciting crossroads.
