I felt meh

Life has been crazy and I haven’t posted for a bit. I put in notice at my job and my last day will be the 27th. I’m quitting because I need to be back in office in Manhattan and this job is never going to meet the professional expectations that I need. Also, I need to get back to a company with a short sales flow. Learned a lot about what to do and what not do that I will treasure forever. What led up to this, though, was poorly spec’d project that I feel like I failed in leading. Everyone disagrees with that assessment, and to a certain degree it’s true, but things I could have controlled, I would have done differently. I also put in a lot of work after hours and put too much on my back. I’m looking forward to taking a month off, doing some new things, and searching in January. I didn’t get a chance to take time off last job search cycle and I have enough in the bank to live it up a bit.
