Massive public resistance to the bully's deportation sweeps is partly successful, and they have weakened his appetite for them. The worst thing about them, in my view, is not that they are deporting people but that they stretch the law and the facts to create false excuses for it, and that they use deportation as a tool for political repression. These pervert justice and human rights, which harms everyone in the US.
