"textContent": "A series of bills in Congress would prohibit\nvarious aspects of market consolidation in medicine.\n\nIt used to be the case that large investment funds needed a publicly traded corporation to raise so much money. Publicly traded corporations were regulated more strictly. But increasing concentration of wealth made it feasible to raise such sums without a publicly traded corporation, and thus to avoid the regulation, with harmful\nconsequences. I believe that any investment vehicle over a certain size should be required to be a publicly traded corporation.",
