People that needed rescue after military attacked boats

After the US military attacked three unarmed boats on Dec 30, 8 people jumped into the stormy and dangerous water, and needed immediate rescue. The US military waited 40 hours to send a plane to try to rescue them. It did not find anyone. No survivors have been rescued after any of these murder missions. The article speculates that this was intentional — that commanders intended the survivors to die. What is indisputable is that they did not make a competent attempt to rescue the survivors.
