"textContent": "**RICHARDSON, Texas** — Another day. Another W for the UT Dallas Comets. They defeated West Texas A&M 11-4 in the second game of their three-game series this afternoon. Under sunny skies and a game-time temperature of 67 degrees, a crowd of 350 witnessed a offensive outburst that moved the Comets to a 4-1 record on the season.\n\n### Big Innings Fuel the Victory\n\nThe Comets’ offense was relentless, using a five-run third inning and a four-run sixth to pull away from the Buffaloes. Remarkably, the team has yet to hit a home run this season, instead relying on timely hitting and aggressive baserunning. Every Comets batter in the starting lineup recorded at least one hit, contributing to a total of 15 hits and four walks on the afternoon.\n\nFirst baseman Korson Hastings has been heating up at the plate. He led the charge for the Comets, going 2-for-4 with six RBIs. Hastings' six RBI was tied for the ninth-most in a game in program history. Hastings now leads the team with eight RBIs on the young season.\n\nHastings also hit the walk-off single in yesterday's game.\n\nSEE MORE THE PROSPECT TIMES STORIES IN GOOGLE Add as a preferred source on Google \n\nCatcher Nico Fernandez also had a standout day at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBIs.\n\n### Pitching and Defense\n\nTobin Oler earned the start for the Comets, allowing four runs on eight hits in 4.1 innings of work. Oler threw 65 pitches, striking out none while walking one and hitting three batters.\n\nThe Comets' bullpen was lights-out, providing 4.2 innings of scoreless relief to slam the door on West Texas A&M:\n\nBaley Ray: 2.2 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 1 HBP, 1 SO (30 pitches)\n\nLandry Powell: 1.0 IP, 1 H, 1 HBP (17 pitches)\n\nAndrew Brown: 1.0 IP, 1 H, 1 BB (15 pitches)\n\n### Looking Ahead\n\nThe Comets go for the series sweep tomorrow at noon.\n\nFollowing the series finale, UT Dallas will go on the road to face first-place St. Mary’s, who currently sits at 5-0.",
