  "textContent": "Recently I've been seeing posts about \"this person JUST created a world monitor\", as if it was simply due to the wars or something as of late... **No**. OSINT is a category of tools that have been around for a long time, and there have been at least half a dozen world monitors out there. There are also a few other similar ones like GeoSentinel too.\n\nI collected them all for myself, and while I'm not sure if I should make this post or not. Since they seem to be getting pretty popular, I thought I might as well list out the ones I've found, and hopefully it will help you stay informed.\n\nThere seems to be a lot of similar needs, from RSS feeds, APIs, and having a strong map module. You need to actually know what to do with the data to be at that point.\n\nThe reason why you would want to use these type of tools is to be informed, and to receive information as soon as it becomes available.\n\nMost RSS readers are actually pretty garbage, slow retrieval, unoptimized interfaces so the feeds are cluttered. Especially if you're tying to sort for news based, versus just simply your interests/hobbies, and so having a screen filled with feeds is useful for this different purpose.\n\n### Be Cautious and Do Good with the Information\n\nThese are pretty much all the links I've come across so far, and I tend to make these kinds of posts when I go down rabbit holes.
