Bringing back Bookmarks

I'm familiar with the idea of "social bookmarking", a practice where one could use a service like del.icio.us to capture things and links that they've found interesting. I used to have something similar on my own website prior my "reset" earlier in July, which was helpful. I could look up a particular link, if I couldn't recall the title. I'm also one of those folks who'd use their browser's bookmarking function to keep track of things like that — relying on history alone wasn't enough as I tend to clear it.

For this site, the process is a lot more manual. My former site was capable of syndicating whatever I posted here to places like BlueSky and Mastodon after I published it. In this case, I'll have to write it on my computer, deploy it (make it live on the Internet) and then post manually to my BlueSky and Mastodon accounts respectively. This is going to be a bit of a forcing function to help me determine what I want this process to look like. I'm in a good groove of development with Livtet which is freeing up a bit of thinking space to reconsider what I'm doing with this site. I still have the same constraints I outlined that I don't plan on changing, to keep my costs down.

The first link I've written was about the right to strike from DISSENT magazine! Let's see what else I can muster up; I have a lot in the backlog.
