Good news everyone! We have released jMonkeyEngine SDK 3.9.0 targeting the jME 3.9 release. Of course it can be used with older or newer jME versions via Gradle projects. Highlights (compared to SDK 3.8.1, which we also soft launched only some weeks ago): * Based on Netbeans 30 (up from 28) * Comes with JDK 25.0.3 (up from 21.0.11) * jME engine version 3.9.0 used internally and by Ant projects (up from 3.8.1) * Bug fixes Get your copy from Release SDK Release 3.9.0 · jMonkeyEngine/sdk · GitHub Some background info on our lack of progress It has been awhile and we lagged a bit behind the jME schedule. There were many technical issues we needed solve, so we were unable to ship anything in the meanwhile. Those issues should be now dealt with and I don’t see any imminent technical hurdle in the horizon that we could get stuck on again. Hoping that we could follow closely on jME 3.10 (given jME itself wont be the technical hurdle this time with all its cool new features). We have all new shiny installers/distribution formats. This was one big technical hurdle to replace the old Netbeans Installer with newer tools. Hopefully it paid off with macOS now having Java also bundled in, more platforms supported with ready distributions. Of course the old faithful ZIP release will run in just about any potato if we missed some more exotic targets. Another great battle was making everything Java 25 -ready. And now the SDK comes ready with Java 25 bundled. Bringing you the best there is what it comes to developing Java applications.
