"textContent": "Music has been embedded in my life ever since I was in the womb, my mum and dad basically raised me on music, especially POP music! I grew up listening to **Madonna** , **Mariah Carey** , **Kylie Minogue** , **Spice Girls** , **Britney Spears** and even **AQUA** and I’ve always been obsessed with pop culture and **Eurovison**! I love yapping about my favourite songs and album of the month every month with the world from **Scene HQ**!\n\n### JORDY - BAD SEX\n\nI only just discovered **Jordan Shulman** aka **JORDY** when my **Spotify** DJ threw _BAD SEX_ at me out of nowhere and I haven’t recovered since. It’s a gloriously unhinged and emotionally messy track that says all the things most pop songs are far too polite (or too scared) to admit. There’s something chaotic, cathartic and weirdly comforting about how fully he leans into the drama and the oversharing….the realness of it all.\n\nIf you’re a gay millennial like me who grew up on pop punk angst, screaming along to **Avril Lavigne** , **Hilary Duff** , **Evanescence** and every emotionally charged anthem you could burn onto a CD-R then discovering JORDY feels like unlocking a new hyper fixation you didn’t know you were missing.\n\nIn a world overflowing with sleek queer hyper pop and glossy, club ready dance tracks, this hits completely differently in my opinion. Louder, messier, gayer and wayyyy more honest. JORDY’s voice is lush in that effortless pop rock way too, which makes the chaos land even harder. I’m excited to dive into his catalogue properly now and fully commit to following whatever he does next! Oh and he's performing at Mighty Hoopla this year too!\n\n### Chloe Qisha - YDH\n\nOh in case you were wondering, it stands for young, dumb and horny because I definitely had to check at first too. _YDH_ is the second single from **Chloe Qisha** since the release of her sophomore EP _Modern Romance_ , which dropped last May, just FYI. The track also comes with a fab music video directed by **Iris Luz**....\n\nSpeaking about her new single, Chloe said \"_YDH_ was written in one joy filled, jet-lagged day. It was the perfect reset for a very stressful year-and it reminded me that this next project is about chasing fun. The song taps into that feral, fairy-tale kind of attraction. The all consuming crush that makes you reckless, invested, and a little dramatic. It’s one of the fantasies I’ll be dipping into for this next project-I want people to let their hair down and stepping into full princess mode. This song was made for hootin’ and hollerin’ in the shower, at home with your cats, on a night out-wherever.”\n\nIf you don't know her yet, Chloe Qisha is a truly special talent and despite only launching her career in July 2024 and having played her first show in October 2024, Chloe has already achieved huge success. In 2026, she was longlisted in BBC’s prestigious annual Sound Of list. Since her debut, Chloe has been featured on the cover of **Rolling Stone UK** , **NME** , **NOTION** , **Dork** and **KNUCKLE** and lauded by a plethora of publications including **New York Times** , **Billboard** , **British Vogue** , **The Face** , **ELLE UK** , **BBC** , **CLASH** , **DORK** , **DIY** , to name just a few....so she's one to watch!\n\n### Calvin Harris and Kasabian - Release The Pressure\n\nI do love a crossover collab that we didn't know we needed! **Calvin Harris** has teamed up with rock band **Kasabian** for the anthemic _Release The Pressure_ and blending the genres of electronic dance and rock together paid off.\n\n### Bebe Rexha - I Like You Better Than Me\n\n**Bebe Rexha** ’s new era is looking to be electro pop charged if _I Like You Better Than Me_ is anything to go by and is coming for main pop girl status with this new era!\n\n_I Like You Better Than Me_ is a high energy offering designed for dance floors whilst Bebe talks about being in one’s own body and thinking somebody else’s is superior. We've all felt that before, right?! No? Just me and Bebe then? However, she delivers this with perfectly danceable beats, kind of infusing it with the confidence the lyrics lack.\n\n### Dorian Electra - Fake Denim\n\nHyperpop pioneer **Dorian Electra** has premiered their new song, _Fake Denim_ in collaboration with **Boys Noize** , the producer behind **Lady Gaga** ’s hit _Rain on Me_ and multiple collaborations with **Skrillex** so you KNOW it'll be good!\n\nThis is Electra’s first solo release since their 2023 album, _Fanfare_ and I'm excited for what's more to come.\n\n### Sarah Whatmore - Fools Gold\n\nOmg this is so weird, I randomly remembered _Automatic_ and _When I Lost You_ the other day, 2 absolute bops by **Sarah Whatmore** back in 2002/2003 and then I saw Sarah is back making music!\n\nIn case Automatic hasn't made you remember, Sarah Whatmore is a **British** singer-songwriter and dancer who first rose to fame on the debut series of **ITV** ’s __**Pop Idol** and became one of the few contestants to bag a UK top 10 single and was signed to **Simon Fuller** ’s **19 Management** and **RCA Records.**\n\n> View this post on Instagram \n>\n> A post shared by SHOLZ-Y (@therealsholzy)\n\nAfter several years focused on songwriting and artistic development, she's back with a genre blending sound that fuses emotional storytelling with dance music and lends her voice to _FOOLS GOLD_ , a collaboration with **Sholz-Y** and honestly it's so nostalgic to hear Sarah Whatmore again!\n\n### Akylas - Ferto\n\nI'm super excited that Eurovision season is on her way and **Sing For Greece** reached its conclusion on the 15th Feb with 14 entries competing to represent the country in **Vienna**. Points were awarded to the songs on the night via three sources: a jury vote (25%), an international jury vote (25%) and a public vote (50%) and after receiving the top points from all three sets of scores, the winning entry is _Ferto_ performed by **Akylas**.\n\n_Ferto_ will represent Greece at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna and Greece are definitely getting 12 points from me! Akylas has an authentic sound and strong stage presence and became widely known in 2024 thanks to the hit single _Atelié_ and is a self made musician from **Serres**. Akylas studied at the **Serres Music School** and honed his performance skills further through theatrical workshops. After moving to **Athens** , he started to stand out online via his viral covers on **TikTok**. Since then, he's built a reputation as a great performer, shaping a multicultural, contemporary sound with a Greek identity.\n\n### Delta Goodrem - Eclipse\n\nSpeaking of Eurovision, **DELTA GOODREM** IS REPRESENTING **AUSTRALIA** THIS YEAR! A sentence I honestly never thought I'd be typing even though it's been rumoured for years that Delta would do Eurovision. Delta Goodrem is a once in a generation artist though, someone pinch me, is this real life?!\n\nThe global pop powerhouse will perform _Eclipse_ at the 70th Eurovision Song Contest, written by Delta herself, along with **Ferras Alqaisi** , **Jonas Myrin** and **Michael Fatkin** (who also produced the song).\n\nDelta said “I’m so honoured to represent Australia on one of the biggest and most iconic music stages in the world at Eurovision! As a singer-songwriter, music has been my lifelong passion. I’ve always loved the creativity, individuality, and joy Eurovision brings, connecting and uniting people across the globe through music; the universal language. I can’t wait to arrive in Vienna and make Australia proud.” She definitely will.\n\n## AOTM: Hilary Duff\n\nluck... or something\n\nOne of the defining stars of her generation, multiplatinum global icon **Hilary Duff** has returned to the pop world with her boldest and honestly, her most self assured project yet. After rising to fame as the titular star of the **Disney Channel** blockbuster, **Lizzie McGuire** , Hils first kicked off her music career with 2003’s _Metamorphosis_ (featuring _So Yesterday_ and _Come Clean_), then released her 2004 self titled LP and her 2007 autobiographical collection _Dignity._ With those three albums alone selling a collective 15 million copies worldwide, she also established herself as a producer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and **New York Times** bestselling author, all while continuing to deliver standout performances in TV and film including her award nominated turn on **Darren Star** ’s _Younger_ (which I'm currently binge watching on **Netflix** btw).\n\nNow though, Hils is signed to **Atlantic Records** , launching a thrilling new chapter with her highly anticipated sixth studio album, _luck… or something_ , her first new album since 2015’s _Breathe In. Breathe Out_. Co-written by Hilary and produced by her husband, **GRAMMY® Award** winning songwriter and producer **Matthew Koma** , the 11 track collection features previously released singles _Mature_ and _Roommates_.\n\n\"There’s that question of whether women can have it all, and through this process I learned I had to sacrifice some things in order to put the record first,” shares Hilary. “As hard as that is, I still believe it’s okay to choose yourself sometimes and do what scares the hell out of you. Carving out the time to make an album after all these years was incredibly powerful for me, and now I can’t wait to share it with the world.\"\n\nPulled between the chaos and clarity of motherhood, marriage, and finding herself in her 30s, Hils dreamed up a batch of songs that uncover the secret corners of her inner world: her hidden longings and quiet insecurities, intrusive thoughts and deepest obsessions. In a bold evolution of her artistry, she crafted every track with equal parts sensitivity, self awareness and wildly charming wit.\n\n📸 Alfred Marroquín\n\n_luck… or something_ was heralded by its first single, _Mature_. Hailed by **VOGUE** for \"pushing Duff’s sound in new directions while still feeling quintessentially Hilary,” the sardonic, shimmering track (which quickly earned over 5 million global streams in its first week of release) arrived as a piece of autofiction inspired by romantic misadventures in her formative years. Set against bright pop production and layered with Hils sigmature wit and vulnerability, _Mature_ is accompanied by an evocative music video directed by **Lauren Dunn**.\n\nOh and good news....Hilary's celebrating _luck… or something_ with the _lucky me tour_ , her first full scale global headline run in almost two decades! Spanning seven countries, with dates across the **US** , **Canada** , **Mexico** , **Ireland** , **Australia** , **New Zealand and**....the **UK**! The world tour begins with a two night run in **West Palm Beach**(in**Florida**) 21st and 22nd June, and travels alllll the way through into February 2027. Due to incredible fan demand, second shows have been added including multiple nights in **Los Angeles** , **New York** , **Toronto** , **London** , West Palm Beach, **Vancouver** and **Mexico City**.\n\nSupport for 2026 shows in the US, Canada, Ireland, the UK, Australia and New Zealand shows comes from GRAMMY Award-winning, **RIAA Platinum** certified artist **La Roux**. LA ROUX! So cool! You can grab tickets HERE.\n\n“I constantly get asked how I still have my head on straight after growing up in this industry,” says Hilary. “The album title is my way of answering that question, which felt right for a record that’s about where I’ve landed and all the things I’ve been through along the way.”\n\nI still can't get over how huge Hilary's comeback has been but it's what she deserves and I just have to say it....THIS IS WHAT DREEEEAMS ARE MADE OF! Oh and my favourite tracks on the album are _The Optimist_ , _Growing Up_ , _Roommates_ , _Mature_ , _Weather For Tennis_ , _Future Tripping_ , _Tell Me That Won't Happen_ , _You, From The Honeymoon_ , _Holiday Party_ annnnd _Adult Size Medium_. Honestly the album feels super personal and a shimmering comeback that solidifies Hilary Duff as a millennial icon and the whole album gets better on every listen! Being the 90's kid, now into my 30's, there's some comfort to Hilary Duff. It's like going back to when world was just good.\n\nStream the #DALEYPOP X March 2026 playlist HERE and follow the official Scene Spotify HERE.🎧✨",
