  "textContent": "Brighton & Hove is set for a vibrant weekend of events as the city marks **International Women’s Day 2026** , with celebrations beginning on Wednesday 4th March and a big festival on **Saturday, 7 March**.\n\nThe centrepiece is the **Network of International Women** ’s annual gathering at the**Brighton Unitarian Church** on **New Road** , running from**11am - 4pm**. The event brings together local organisations dedicated to empowering women, offering visitors live music, international food, children’s activities and the chance to connect with community groups championing women’s rights and wellbeing.\nEveryone is welcome to drop in throughout the day.\n\nThe Network is also appealing for volunteers to help ensure the event is as warm and lively as ever.
