This year sees a renewed focus on regional and grassroots impact, with 12 categories opened to public nominations in late 2025.\n\nTrans Pride Brighton, recognised internationally as one of the world’s largest Trans Pride events, appears on the shortlist alongside **Great Yarmouth & Waveney Pride **and **Happy Valley Pride**. The nomination acknowledges the organisation’s continued role in advocating for trans, non-binary and gender‑diverse people while delivering one of the UK’s most significant community-led Pride events.\n\nNominees will be honoured at a ceremony on **20 March 2026** at the **Manchester Deansgate Hotel**. The evening will feature performances by _X Factor_ winner **Louisa Johnson** and drag sensation **Bailey J Mills** , with more musical acts and celebrity guests to be announced.\n\nThe Gaydio Awards have grown rapidly in prominence. Last year’s ceremony became a moment of national conversation when**Russell T Davies** ’ acceptance speech for the **Icon Award** underscored the awards’ importance as a platform for LGBTQ+ voices, not just celebration.\n\nThis year’s judging panel includes leading figures from across the LGBTQ+ community: actor and activist **Annie Wallace** , **Birmingham Pride** director **Char Bailey** , journalist **Conor Clark** , trans advocate **Lars Fellows** , and LGBTQ+ network leader **Matthew Chew**.
