Toby and Mikey Perryman‑Payne describe ‘terrifying’ night after claiming they were drugged and sexually assaulted in LA

London‑based content creators Toby and Mikey Perryman‑Payne have spoken publicly about what they describe as a harrowing experience during a trip toLos Angeles , alleging they were drugged and sexually assaulted during a night out in West Hollywood.

The couple, known online for their lifestyle and DIY content under the handle TobysHome , recounted the incident in a TikTok video posted on11 February. They said the events took place in September 2024, when they visited a bar after dinner and ordered a single drink, after which both “completely blacked out”.

According to Toby, he regained consciousness in an unfamiliar room with a stranger present, stating that he was unclothed and surrounded by items he described as weapons. He said he managed to persuade the other individual to accompany him into another room, where he found Mikey and another person unconscious but slowly waking.

Mikey said Toby’s quick thinking enabled them to escape the apartment. The pair told followers that the trauma of the experience caused them to stop drinking and significantly reduce their social activity. Despite their fear, they said they are determined to “take [their] power back” in 2026 and refuse to let the incident define their lives.

In a caption accompanying the video, the couple wrote that they “never” expected to share the story publicly, explaining that feelings of shame delayed them from acknowledging what had happened. They added that they hoped openness, rather than fear, would help them move forward.
