He can't wait for the big day. David said: \"Last June I embarked on a very personal weight loss and fitness journey.\n\n\"This has been very important to me. I finally picked up my running shoes again and I have lost four stone so far.\n\n\"It hasn't always been easy, but I have felt a real sense of achievement, so I decided to do something out of my comfort zone, and as one of the previous organisers, the Brighton Half Marathon seemed the obvious choice.\n\n\"It's also very much a personal mission for me as I will be raising funds for a charity close to my heart, the **Sussex Beacon** , which does such important work in our wonderful city.\"\n\nDavid is probably best known for producing, directing, and starring in the successful _Brighton Family Panto_ every year at the **Hilton Brighton Metropole**. He's also heavily involved in local charities and is a Trustee for the**Focus Foundation** , a Patron for **Chailey Heritage** , and an Ambassador for **Raystede**.\n\nDavid will be part of **Team Beacon** - the name of the team of fundraisers who take part in the Brighton Half Marathon and other events throughout the year for the Sussex Beacon. He will be running with other well-known faces like Olly Alexander.\n\nHe said: \"Sunday is a big day for me.
