  "textContent": "ActivityPub for WordPress version 9.0 was just released, and a blog post by lead developer Matthias Pfefferle goes over the new features (you can follow me from Mastodon, Pixelfed, or the like at [at]naferrell[at]social.emucafe.org (or https://social.emucafe.org/naferrell) in Mastodon or similar ActivityPub-powered servers (not to mention Bluesky). 9.0 introduced a few new features that I am enabling:\n\n  1. I enabled a new feature which allows other people to add my author profile here to Fediverse Starter Kits (see featured quote above).\n  2. I switched from the Default distribution mode (100 deliveries per batch, 15 seconds pause) to Balanced (50 per batch, 30 seconds pause) because this site has had some slow-downs immediately following the publication of new posts.\n\n\n\nThere are several other new features that may be of interest to other WordPress websites using the plugin in addition to security fixes.
