Criminal Sentencing in Nigeria

Courtesy of Breitbart, two Chinese men in Nigeria pled guilty to cyber terrorism charges and were each sentenced to 46 years in prison and three days of community service before deportation. Breitbart reports that Nigerian prosecutors asked for life sentences, so the 46 years in prison could have been worse. But I can’t help but think that the three days of community service may be a little bit gratuitous (unless Nigeria allows them to do the community service during the 46-year prison sentence).
