The big secret about a massive government secret department is that it doesn’t ace its big secret job. The deep state, tracking an alien invasion, managed to bungle its assignment so hard that it failed to get an up-to-date image of the human suits that they’re wearing. The group wants to destroy Mount Rushmore, so the government has to call in the best, a shape-shifting spy who is able to modify his body to infiltrate any enemy group. The government cannot provide a photo of the human disguise of the Neptunian, but they do offer a poem and a big magazine article about clowns. These are the details that I need to use to turn the spy into an operative who can stop the destruction of the four stone-carved presidents.
