World Cup 3D?

Knowing that I'm on an weird flat island known as the United States, and all we know about 3d broadcasting was there were a few baseball games and World Cup games in 2010-2011 on as special 3d station.

In February 2011 NFL announced the 2012 Super Bowl would be in 3D.

And then in August 2011 it was discovered that if the 3D broadcasts were going to happen a lot of people would be locked out with 2D-only TVs. People complain to the NFL and to the FCC. That's when 3D peaked in the United States at 30% to have of households have capacity for 3D.

Then there was an FCC law passed that you cannot have programming that requires a decoder to receive. So in other words the United States in order to have 3D must develop a 2d compatible version of it.

Since the rest of the soccer loving world is coming to America ( and yes it's soccer because otherwise you could confuse it with an American game with a similar name that the rest of the world uses as football.) I'm wondering first of all if you're elsewhere around the world how do you get your 3D broadcasts? Are they on 3D only separate stations or do they broadcast just the right eye or just the left eye to those who don't have their decoders turned off?

Also should I assume that if you are in America but are not going to every single one of those matches meaning you're going to miss a few matches in America's big sprawling size that if you want to watch other games that you're not attending in 3D you would probably have to use the internet in order to do that and slip your cell phone into your glasses`
