Hailing from Adler Entertainment Trust and K7 Storytellers, Serpent follows the harrowing escalation of old resentments and bitter recriminations when an ambitious actress agrees to reunite with her estranged father and troubled brother on a week-long trek through the unforgiving Wyoming wilderness. What begins as a desperate family bonding trip rapidly devolves into savage violence and brutal psychological warfare. Thomas Marchese (Fallen, From Black) will direct from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jessub Flower (From Black), reuniting with Camp following their work together on the 2023 horror film From Black. In addition to Camp, exec producers on the project include Michael Adler, Jonathan Adler and Madeline Adler for Adler Entertainment Trust. Kelly Frazier (The Wrong Paris, Bob Trevino Likes It) is on board to produce for K7 Storytellers. With Thomas Marchese’s visceral directorial vision and Anna Camp’s incredible depth as an actor, Serpent is going to bring that tension to life in a way that modern thriller audiences won’t forget.” Perhaps best known for starring in the Pitch Perfect trilogy from Universal, Camp has more recently been seen starring in Scream 7, with dual roles in the fifth and final season of Netflix’s serial killer thriller You. Upcoming, she’ll also be seen starring in Amy Redford’s Salt & Honey for Angel Studios. She is represented by Gersh, Authentic Management, and Schreck Rose Dapello. Dedicated to bringing Warren Adler’s extensive literary catalog to the screen, Adler Entertainment Trust is coming off The Roses, a new adaptation of the famed Adler novel The War of the Roses, which Danny DeVito previously adapted for film in the ’80s.
