"textContent": "Russia made up an 'international LGBT+ extremist movement' only to criminalize the entire queer community in the country.More than 40% of LGBT+ people in Russia report experiencing hate-motivated violence in the past year alone, and 94% now resort to self-censorship just to stay safe. Among transgender people, 57% avoid seeing a doctor entirely out of fear of discrimination. Among LGBT+ teenagers, more than half experience pressure at school, and one in five face violence at home. 83% of those who do not report hate crimes say it is because they no longer believe the police will help – and many fear the police themselves. And the crackdown is still expanding. Since February 2026, nine LGBT+ organizations have been designated \"extremist,\" and international groups such as ILGA World have been declared \"undesirable.\" Books with LGBT+ characters are being investigated. Support groups are under threat. Even conversations and online posts can trigger prosecution. Please spare a minute and help sign this online petition to support the Russian LGBT+ community.http://a.allout.org/s/vG8Zz/#lgbtqia #lgbt #queer #transrights #humanrights #russia #russian #petition #onlinepetition",
