Solutions to all Windows, macOS software questions [Unofficial] February 13, 2026

Asked about eQUEST. The cause is the eQUEST.ini file within the "eQUEST 3-65-7175 Data" folder. It gets modified upon launch and mangles future launch attempts. Modify the permissions on this file to allow "everyone" read only (and pull any edit/modify access). Then the file will not be touched during launches, and should continue to launch successfully going forward. Please note you may need to reinstall the software to start with a proper eQUEST.ini file that is in a good state.
