No matter what these tech bros are telling you, generative AI is not inevitable. You may choose not to use it, i.e., if you have a choice (yeah, your bosses might have drank the Kool Aid to push you maximize the company's genAI subscription). Should you consider exploring genAI, I highly recommend that you use the free models and run it locally, if your device can. It solves the privacy issue, along with the environmental impact of using non-Carbon zero data centers.
