"textContent": "## From quiet portraits to striking illusions, this set brings together 8 walls painted across **Europe** and the **USA**. Different moods, different tones, each piece standing out in its own way. A mix of character, detail, and scale that shows how varied street art can be in eight cities.\n\nMore: Absolutely Beautiful (9 Photos)\n\n* * *\n\n### 1. Bent Not Broken — AYLO in Rochdale, UK\n\nA young woman in a red hood stands among roses, holding a fragile branch. The mural is framed with foliage and a gold halo behind her head.\n\n**AYLO: ** This mural tells the story of Betty Blomley, a woman from Rochdale folklore who was said to collect bent pins from the town’s wishing well at dusk. People would toss the pins in while making a wish, and Betty, living on the edge of poverty, gathered them up, straightened them out, and sold them on to feed her family. For that, she was called a witch. Like so many women throughout history, she was condemned for simply surviving. She was judged for her resourcefulness and her independence. This mural reclaims Betty as a symbol of resilience and quiet strength, turning an old story of suspicion into one of pride and endurance. The red hood connects her to the Northern legend of Mother Redcap, another woman caught between myth and misunderstanding. Mother Redcap is said to be the guardian of the ale house. Its told that she stands at the threshold of old pubs granting wishes and dealing out ill fate.\n\n🔗 Follow **AYLO on Instagram**\n\n* * *\n\n### 2. His Great Love — Sam for Treepack in Leuven, Belgium\n\nA couple shares a kiss inside a large circular frame painted behind them, creating a spotlight effect on the figures.\n\n**Treepack:** On the wall of the Eduard Remy care home in Leuven, you can admire “His Great Love.” At first glance, it may seem like a romantic gesture, but it is actually a tribute inspired by a forgotten part of history, when tall girls were given growth inhibitors to conform to societal ideals The project was made possible with the support of Caroline Goossens, who experienced these growth inhibitors herself and initiated this mural. The care home generously provided the location.\n\n🔗 Follow **Sam on Instagram**\n\n* * *\n\n### 5.
