For the first time in the organization’s history, every show included in the seven-production subscription package is currently running on Broadway, giving local audiences a rare opportunity to experience the energy and artistry of New York’s theater scene without leaving San Diego.\n\nThe 2026-2027 season will open with the West Coast premiere of _Oh, Mary!_ , the Tony Award–winning comedy and Pulitzer Prize finalist that has been hailed by critics as one of the most celebrated stage comedies in years. The season continues with _The Outsiders_ , the four-time Tony Award–winning Best Musical that was originally developed at La Jolla Playhouse before becoming a Broadway sensation.\n\n\n\nAlso included in the season package is _Buena Vista Social Club_ , the Tony and Grammy Award–winning musical inspired by the iconic Cuban album that helped introduce global audiences to Havana’s legendary musicians. The production will be followed by _Operation Mincemeat: A New Musical_ , the Olivier and Tony Award-winning comedy based on the real-life World War II espionage operation that helped turn the tide of the war.\n\n\n\nThe season continues with _Maybe Happy Ending_ , the six-time Tony Award–winning Best Musical about connection and humanity in a technology-driven world, and _The Great Gatsby_ , a lavish Broadway spectacle based on F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic novel set during the Roaring Twenties. The 49th season will conclude with _Death Becomes Her_ , the Tony Award–winning musical comedy based on the cult-favorite 1992 film.\n\n\n\nIn addition to the seven-show subscription series, Broadway San Diego will present several special engagements during the season. These include a new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s _The Phantom of the Opera_ , the return of Disney’s globally beloved _The Lion King_ , the ABBA-fueled hit musical _Mamma Mia!_ , and the family-friendly stage show _Bluey’s Big Play_.\n\n\n\nSeason ticket packages for the 2026–2027 Broadway San Diego lineup are now available starting at $335 for the seven-show subscription series.
