"textContent": "Add a new rule named “Competitive Research” with the following text:\n\n\nEach Geneticist has a publicly tracked number named Published defaulting to 0.\n\nThere is a publicly tracked Research Target which is either empty or a Bacterium, defaulting to empty.\n\nIf the Research Target is empty, any Geneticist may Initiate Research, which is an atomic action with the following steps:\n* Find the highest-quality Gene among all Genes of all Bacterium in all Geneticists’ Petri Dishes. This is the Base Target Gene. If the Base Target Gene is W, X, Y, or Z, then the rest of the steps in this action must be skipped.\n* Set the Research Target to a Bacterium where each Gene in that Bacterium is set to a publicly randomly selected value among the set of Genes that are two levels of quality higher, three levels of quality higher, and four levels of quality higher than the Base Target Gene respectively. Example: if the Base Target Gene is F, the random selection would be among the set {H,I,J}.\n\nAny time the Research Target is not empty, if a Geneticist owns a Petri Dish containing a Bacterium with Genes that exactly match the Genes (in both value and order) of the Research Target, that Bacterium is known as that Geneticist’s Matching Bacterium, and that Geneticist may perform Publish Research as an atomic action with the following steps:\n* Set that Geneticist’s Matching Bacterium to ABC.\n* Increase that Geneticist’s Published by 1.\n\nIf the Research Target is not empty and has been the same value for the past 168 hours, the Firm or any Geneticist may set it to empty.",
