  "textContent": "Throughout the dynastic ruleset, replace “Defense” with “Max Defense”, with the exception of appearances of the word that would be added if this proposal is enacted. In the rule “Vessels”, insert the following as the sixth paragraph in that rule: Each Vessel that is not Unclassified has a publicly tracked amount of Defense, which may range from a minimum of zero to the Max Defense defined by its Class, and defaults to that Max Defense. Any associate with a vessel with a defined attack greater than 0 may Fight Piracy as an action in a system that vessel is stationed in. All valid vessels owned by that associate in that system will be “involved”. When they do so, as an atomic action the associate:Gain credits equal to the total Attack of all vessels involved. Reduces the corruption of that system’s Director equal to the total Attack of all vessels involved, down to a minimum of 0 Reduces each involved vessel’s defense by 1. Gives each vessel involved the publicly tracked tag Exhaustion. If an associate takes this action in a system they are the Director of, the credits that they would gain from this action instead goes to that system, and the amount of corruption they would lose as a result of the action is reduced by half, rounded down. If a vessel’s defense drops to 0, it will gain the publicly tracked tag Out of Commission. A vessel with Exhaustion and/or Out of Commission does not count as valid to be used to initiate or otherwise be involved in a Fight Piracy action. The associate may Rearm as a timed action to remove Exhaustion from all vessels with the tag they own, and may at any time spend credits equal to one of their vessel’s base defense to remove Out of Commission from that vessel, at which point that vessel’s defense returns to its base value.",
