The project that was a scaled-down evolution of previously rejected Sheffield Farms?\n\nWell, the Durham Planning Commission on Feb. 10 voted 9-0 against approval after hearing neighbors warn against the traffic and environmental threats posed by the project.\n\nDoes that mean this development is dead and gone, no more \"lipstick on a pig\" as one opponent called it?\n\nIt does not.\n\nThe Durham City Council isn't bound by recommendations of the Planning Commission. According to the Durham Rezoning Explorer, no date has been set yet for a City Council meeting about Morgan Farm.
