Hello! We're starting a new publishing challenge and we're seeking: Atmosphere Field Reporters!

Are you plugged into a particular corner of the Atmosphere? We want to see you write a weekly report on activity in that community!*

This may be primarily activity on @bsky.app — but if your scene is active on @blackskyweb.xyz, @semble.so, @tangled.org, or someplace else, we'd love to see links there too.

Apply, and if selected, we'll hook you up with Leaflet Pro, on us!

We can imagine great field reports on:

One great example is at://news where @chrisshank.com publishes "Atmospheric Weather Reports" like this one:

This doesn't require a ton of writing, it's more curatorial…though of course you can write as much as you like!

A good workflow might be: bookmark posts in Bluesky / other apps; copy the best to a Leaflet draft; each week organize, add some notes, and send.

You can @-mention others, and even embed Bluesky posts in Leaflet so readers can open them in our built-in thread viewer!

What you'll do:

What we'll do:

We think this will be a fun way to not only encourage more blogging, but make a bunch of interesting scenes and subcommunities on the atmosphere more legible.

Maybe it'll give us some good ideas for things we can build in Leaflet (or other tools) for communities too!

To apply, fill out this short form, should take just a few minutes:

Update: extended the deadline by a few days!

Apply by Tuesday, July 7th; we'll select and notify folks by Friday, July 10th.

Please help spread the word on Bluesky and share to any mutuals or communities you think might be interested! Someone you think would be a great fit? Go ahead and nudge them to apply directly.

Reach out with any questions!
