"textContent": "Last night I slept okay. Maybe too broken up earlier, but it got better. That’s what I get for having a little bourbon with supper. I drank my coffee before and after my girlfriend went off to work. It was early in the morning. I glanced at next week’s vault WOD and decided I just wanted to get it done.\n\nI have been using the heavier dumbbells a lot recently, and it does have me feeling a little rundown. The movements were pretty similar to what I did in a workout yesterday, so I decided I just wanted to get it done and over with earlier rather than later. I hit that with so much intensity yesterday too. It left me feeling a little rundown.\n\nI got out in the garage very early this morning so I could be sure to get the workout in before my brain had a chance to say to wait until another day. It was nice to do the WOD in silence, though. That always brings an extra level of focus. I don’t do so too often, but I like to do that every so often. Typically when I do it, I do it on a day like today when I am out there in the garage super early. I would rather not be that asshole neighbor and disturb others when I am out too early.\n\nI also went very light. For the workout I only used the 25-pound dumbbells for the hang cleans, presses, and squats. Yesterday I used the 40s for some of those movements. The workout did the job intended and got my heart rate up there today. I hopped onto the plates, which felt weird today. Maybe because of the poor lighting? It could be because I am visually impaired too!\n\nA little while later I hopped on the rower and did today’s WOD which was some intervals. I didn’t do it for intensity. Instead I took it as more of a practice run, slowing down the stroke rate and getting my timing back. I feel like I have had a little success with doing this lately. The way I see it, I got a little work in and some practice. It really didn’t get my heart rate up that high, but that is how rowing has been for me for some time now. I have been desperately trying to get my timing and form back.\n\nFor the remainder of the day, I am pretty sure that I’ll just veg. Once the Phillies come on, I think I will go lay on the couch and watch them. I managed to get a little sunshine this morning after I did my second WOD. It felt great. There was an annoyingly loud barking dog nearby, but I am not sure who that belongs to. It didn’t sound familiar.\n\nMusic for the rowing was Spiral Architect.",
