Fiction novels/shorts with the atmosphere/backdrop of heat and humidity.

Looking for stories with the heat and maybe humidity and maybe cicadas like summer in the US Southeast, but could be elsewhere. Not as a plot like a climate related fiction, but this oppressive presence within a story. Preferably in genres like suspense or horror. Thanks. by lebowtzu
