Any books that have a story in which the MC finds out they have powers or becomes in some way powerful, magical, super human. Harry Potter would count. Could be magical or paranormal, like a vampire origin story. Or superhero story. Whatever. Strongly prefer no romance as a genre. by simple-solitude
