A book with a ‘Touch him and die trope’

Preferably no spice, I've seen it the other way around and I love it, but i wondered what it'd seem flipped. I've caught a few glimpes in the cruel pirnce, but I've only finished book 1. Are there any other popular books like that? by Away-Tone6809
