Looking for a good superhero novel/series

I love a good superhero story, yet I struggle to find them. Preferably not anything connected to DC or marvel, and with a morally upright protagonist. I also like stuff that explores the social impacts and celebrity culture in the world of the book, but that isn’t strictly necessary. Any suggestions? by Old-Secretary-282
