I’m new to reading and need a few books for my vacation

Hey, I read "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" and really enjoyed it. I’d love to explore more books like this- not necessarily in the cyberpunk genre, but rather stories where a character finds themselves in a hopeless situation.
