Any adult books that take place in the ghetto/hood?

This could be specifically about living there or just a story that has the setting and it's not the focus. Non-fiction and fiction is good. I found it hard to relate to the setting in books growing up, it was usually middle class even though everyone I knew was far from it. by KraftyKane
