A historical book with a story about engineering or building something.

I'm looking for recommendations for a book that has to do with building or creating something. I do not read very frequently but I'm drawn to books where I feel like I've learned something when I'm finished. I enjoyed "Every Tools a Hammer" and "Beneath a Scarlet Sky". Thanks! by jbent1188
