Greek and Roman epics

i just finished Song of Achilles. before that I read the first two parts of Hiearchy series and a few books of Red rising series. I would love to read read more mythological pieces, true to original sources. Homer would be the obvious choice, but I am afraid that the old prose will turn me [...]
