Mind-reading main character living a sort of ordinary life (not sci-fi or fantasy).

Anyone know of novels in which the main character is telepathic/empathic and who uses their (secret) abilities to navigate a relatively ordinary life…and maybe help people? Thanks in advance! by triciarobbeaka
