Please suggest your favourite calming (but not boring) reads – any genre

Feeling stressed about current events and would like to lose myself in a fairly calming book that's not boring. Recent examples I've enjoyed are: – "A Month in the Country" by J. L. Carr, – "Lost Horizon" and "Goodbye Mr Chips" by James Hilton, and – "Mrs Palfrey at the Claremont" by Elizabeth Taylor. Thanks! [...]
