What’s your favourite short story?

I'd like to read more amazing short stories. Most of those I've read in the past have been classic scifi (eg Asimov) but I'm looking to broaden my range. My favourite short story of all time is Harrison Bergeron by Kurt Vonnegut. In general my taste is for early-to-mid-20th century fiction. Thanks! by wimsey_pimsey
