The journey begins

It's been a tough 43.5 years, I won't lie :)

I won't go into a litany of woes and hurts: honestly, who cares or has the time, and everyone's Got Stuff. Instead, this is a place where, when the mood strikes, I can document some of the stuff I'm thinking / finding out about / learning.

But some background is also perhaps useful. Essentially, I'm in a place where after 20-plus years of school and study, and then 20-plus of trying to fit into standard employment and office jobs (which I generally find toxic as, unfortunately) - as well as a country which actively stamps on / bulllies difference - I've ended up severely damaged.

And unemployed, yep, in an attempt to save myseful (I was on a trajectory I was not going to survive for long, and I have Responsibilities).

So goodbye retirement savings, terrifying as that is and especially in a tanking economy with no work, but hello time! I swapped time and life for money (not much, but enough that I have some meagre savings), and now it's time to reverse that flow.

And! It's time to figure out what the next 20 years looks like. I know it has to be different in form, but remain pro-planet-and-people (even more so, en feit).

This is also an opportunity to learn the skills and ways of life that, frankly, a comfortable full-time-employed ok-earning middle-class life doesn't really allow, at least for me, as the work, other life responsibilities, and stress levels leave no time nor energy for anything else during these years of my life. Skills and ways of life which, as we continue through The Great Collapse, will become ever more necessary.

And so yes. I'm rewilding myself, as well as rewilding my tiny yard. My dog appears to be rewilding herself :P
