But the good – or possibly bad – news is he’s about to gain another when a massive bombshell drops on Coronation Street… and his daughters are to blame.\n\nSaying Tyrone has a complicated family life is a bit like saying Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn) has a bit of a temper.\n\nGrowing up under the questionable adoptive care of Jackie and Darren Dobbs,Tyrone didn’t meet his estranged mother Cassie Plumer (Claire Sweeney) until 2023. The former drug addict abandoned her boy at a police station when he was just a baby. Needless to say, when she rocked up looking for a relationship, she didn’t get the warmest reception.\n\nTyrone’s first meeting with his mum didn’t go smoothly. (ITV)\n\nIt took a while, but eventually Cassie cleaned up her act and be the mum that Ty had always been lacking. She’s delighted us as Queen of the Street Cars Switchboards and her relationship with Corrie legacy character Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) has created one of the warmest and most hilarious corners of the show.\n\nUnfortunately, all good things must come to and end, and Cassie is set to bow out of the ITV soap this year when actress Claire Sweeney trades the Cobbles for treading the boards in a production of Annie! the musical.\n\nHowever, Ty’s about to get another parent in his life, in the form of his long lost dad, Ross Wilkes. Played by veteran EastEnders and The Bill actor Ian Burfield, Tyrone’s dad was teased by Coronation Street boss Kate Brooks earlier this year:\n\n“He comes into the show.‘ He comes into the world of Fiz and Tyrone. Tyrone’s in the mindset of ‘I’m in my 40s, I’ve survived this long without a dad. The dad is very keen to connect with Tyrone.’\n\n‘It’s not long before the dad makes eyes at one of the residents, and maybe a bit of a relationship starts there. It’s very domesticated. It really shines a spotlight on Fiz and Tyrone as a couple and that dynamic as a family.’\n\nNow Ross explodes into Tyrone’s life thanks to the meddling of his daughters Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) and Ruby Dobbs (Billie Naylor).\n\nTyrone is completely blindsided by his dad’s arrival. (Picture: ITV)\n\nIn this sneak peak video, during a dinner at the Bistro, the girls unceremoniously surprise their dad by revealing how they took some of Tyrone’s DNA and sent it off to a website to get tested.\n\nNot only that, but the mischievous Dobbs girls messaged Ross pretending to Tyrone, and now he thinks Ty wants to meet up.\n\nThat’s Ross’s cue to enter, and Tyrone is left utterly blown away as Ruby proudly announces ‘Say hello to Daddy!’\n\nAwkward…\n\nComment now Comments \nAdd Metro as a Preferred Source on Google\nAdd as preferred source\n",
