"textContent": "Emergency services were called to Fisherman’s Walk in Bournemouth yesterday after concerns were raised over a man’s welfare (Picture: Getty Images/iStockphoto)\n\nA man has died after falling from a 100 ft cliff in Dorset during the heatwave.\n\nEmergency services were called to Fisherman’s Walk in Bournemouth yesterday after concerns were raised over a man’s welfare.\n\nOfficers began speaking to him but the man soon fell from the 100 ft height.\n\nHe died at the scene, and is yet to be formally identified.\n\nHis death is not being treated as suspicious but Dorset Police has referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.\n\nPolice have urged witnesses to not share any footage of the fall online.\n\nOne witness told the Dorset Echo: ‘I was on the beach directly opposite, getting myself organised and I looked up and saw movement.’\n\n_Samaritans are here to listen, day or night, 365 days a year.
