"textContent": "Federico Chiesa is unhappy with his lack of playing time at Liverpool (AP)\n\nFederico Chiesa says he is ready to leave Liverpool this summer and will hold talks with Andoni Iraola over his future at Anfield.\n\nLiverpool signed Chiesa in a £12.5 million deal from Juventus two years ago but the Italy international has struggled to make an impact under Arne Slot.\n\nAcross two seasons in the Premier League, Chiesa has started just two matches and has played a total of 422 minutes.\n\nChiesa claims Slot blocked his exit in the January transfer window with Juventus expressing an interest in a potential deal.\n\n## All the World Cup action\n\nGet everything you need to know about the World Cup – England updates, the games to watch and stories you missed – in five minutes, at 1pm, every day. In January, the club and Slot told me I couldn’t leave, they needed me, partly for numerical reasons. We were in a tight spot. I understood the situation and I was left smiling. Liverpool is always talked about, last year they helped me win the Premier League.\n\n‘Liverpool had informed me, but then the negotiations with Juve didn’t come to fruition.\n\n‘I repeat… I want to play. If I don’t find consistency in the Premier League, I’ll have to look elsewhere.\n\n‘I barely played in my first year at Liverpool, and in the last season, very little. I’ll go on a training camp in the US, then I’ll talk to the club and the new manager, Iraola, and we’ll see.\n\n‘I’m open to anything, the important thing is to play. I’m not so presumptuous as to say: I have to be a starter. I’m ready to fight for a place, anywhere.’\n\n**For more stories like this, check our sport page**.\n\n**Follow Metro Sport for the latest news on**Facebook,** Twitter and Instagram**.\n\nComment now Comments \nAdd Metro as a Preferred Source on Google\nAdd as preferred source\n",
