After five seasons, Clarkson’s Farm fans are no strangers to heartbreak.

We’ve seen Jeremy and his friends face all sorts of trials and tribulations at this point as they battle to keep their heads above water.

However, episode four of the fifth season was particularly poignant, as the former Top Gear host said goodbye to his beloved pgs.

Jeremy Clarkson first brought his rare Oxford Sandy and Black pigs to Diddly Squat Farm in early 2023.

However, after sending them to the abattoir for slaughter, the 66-year-old was shocked to learn there’s a reason these pigs are so rare.

According to the butcher, there’s simply too much fat on these pigs, meaning their meat is only good for making sausages.

Appalled at the news, Jeremy quickly realised it just didn’t make financial sense to breed and raise these pigs for such a small return.

So with a heavy heart, he sold off his remaining stock and gave his breeding sows to a local educational farm.

It made for strangely moving television, especially when we were treated to a flashback montage of the pigs’ time on the farm, accompanied by the Cat Stevens song, Father and Sons.

Following the emotional scenes, fans took to social media to share their heartbreak.

‘Watching Jeremy Clarkson cry over his pigs broke me down,’ wrote @IanWales82 on X. ‘Sad episode of Clarkson’s Farm’.

‘The pigs made me cry,’ agreed @joncl3gg.

However, other viewers had a far more pressing question. On Reddit, one person asked: ‘What happened to Richard Ham?’

Named after Jeremy’s Top Gear go-star, Richard Ham was a major character in season 4 of Clarkson’s Farm.

A particularly small Oxford Sandy and Black, Jeremy decided against Kaleb’s protestations to keep the adorable animal as a sort of pet.

Yet when Jeremy got rid of his pigs in season five, there was no mention of him.

‘I was surprised not to see him at all, nor any mention of him. He was such a cute little guy,’ wrote Persist3ntOwl on Reddit.

While @GrumpyGinge_9 wrote on X: ‘Loving season 5 of Clarkson’s Farm but Jeremy Clarkson… what happened to Richard Ham?’

Indeed, the petite porker’s absence led a number of fans to fear he’d gone to the slaughterhouse off-camera.

Yet while the series doesn’t explain what happened to the plucky piglet, there are reports online that he is okay.

On Reddit, user Tadeusz_Paszczyszyn explained: ‘Nothing happened to Richard Ham. Someone kept him. Idk if it was Jeremy or if he gave him to someone to look after, but he is, in fact, still with us.

‘Whoever has him now has taken him to Farmfest, and people were able to see him in person there, along with other animals displayed.’

A quick Google confirms that Richard Ham was indeed at FarmFest at the end of May, so there’s no need to panic.

Metro has approached Jeremy Clarkson to ask where Richard Ham is now.

Clarkson’s Farm is available to watch now on Amazon Prime Video.
