  "textContent": "The congestion stretches back 17 miles (Picture: National Highways)\n\nA crash on the M25 has caused 17 miles of congestion on the motorway in Surrey.\n\nA lane on Junction 9 has been blocked near Leatherhead after a vehicle overturned around 7.30am.\n\nTraffic was held for around 20 minutes and delays of two hours are affecting scores of drivers.\n\nIn its latest update from 8.30am, traffic monitoring site Inrix said: ‘Severe delays and two lanes closed due to recovery work and earlier overturned vehicle on M25 clockwise before J9 A243 (Leatherhead).\n\nThere is a 17 miles queue of congestion in rush hour on the M25 this morning (Tuesday, June 2) near Leatherhead caused by a crash (Picture: National Highways)\n\n##  Sign up for all of the latest stories\n\nStart your day informed with Metro's **News Updates** newsletter or get **Breaking News** alerts the moment it happens.\n\n‘Congestion to Clacket Lane Services, halfway back to J5 M26 (17 miles).
