"textContent": "Kameko Fever raised its hind legs and kicked the stable groom.\n\nStable worker Chloe Briody was taken to hospital after being kicked by a racehorse in a harrowing moment inside the parade ring.\n\nBriody, travelling head girl for trainer Richard Fahey, was walking alongside Kameko Fever ahead of a seven-furlong race at Redcar in North Yorkshire on Tuesday.\n\nThe three-year-old gelding was being led around the parade ring when Briody was seen approaching the horse from the right-hand side.\n\nKameko Fever then kicked out its hind legs with brutal force, sending her flying across the grass.\n\nFootage shared on social media captured the worrying moment with racing fans fearing for her wellbeing.\n\nBriody thankfully escaped without any serious injuries having been taken to hospital for assessment.\n\nRedcar Racing released a statement confirming the incident, also passing on the much-welcomed update over Briody’s condition.\n\n> O kadar anlık ki her şey onun için tedbiri elden bırakmamak gerekBiraz önce yaşanan çok üzücü olay pic.twitter.com/OcqCBX4QWk\n>\n> — gnocchi🎙️💫 (@Niyazi19940601) May 26, 2026\n\nThey said in a statement: ‘Thank you to everyone who has expressed concern following yesterday’s unfortunate accident in the parade ring at Redcar when a member of Richard Fahey’s stable staff was kicked by a horse.\n\n‘The staff member was attended to swiftly by expert medical staff at the scene, with further checks being carried out at hospital later.\n\nBriody approached the horse from the right.\n\nThe kick sent Briody flying across the parade ring.\n\n‘Having spoken to the stable this morning, we are happy to confirm that the member of staff is fine apart from some bruising.\n\n‘She will be back on her feet soon and we wish her well.’\n\nFahey also confirmed Briody was recovering well.\n\nHe told The Mirror: ‘It was one of my girls, Chloe, and she is fine.
